Court-appointed custody evaluations

 

As a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 16 years of clinical experience treating children and adolescents, I am highly qualified to conduct custody evaluations in Louisiana.  I have unique experience of working with families from a wide variety of backgrounds, giving me experiential knowledge of the complicated nature of raising children.  My ultimate goal will always be to keep your child(ren)'s best interest at the forefront of this process.

Parent Mediation

As an effort to help parents to settle disputes outside of court, parent mediation is an option.  In these sessions, we will work together to effectively communicate and prioritize the best-interest of your child(ren).  You will finish parent mediation with a formalized agreement that can serve as a baseline of how you will raise your children while living separately.  This agreement can be used in the future if litigation becomes necessary.

Reunification Therapy

From time to time, circumstances can make it difficult for some parents to remain present in a child's life.  The process of reunification therapy is sensitive and can be fruitful in laying the groundwork for a new understanding of  your relationship's needs.  With your child's developmental and specialized needs in mind, I can assist in this very delicate process of reuniting a child with their parent(s).
